Wednesday Classes: E-Block, G-Block
Today we will be going over the third graphing practice and introduce the final installment of our graphing review (HW8). By this time, you should be a semi-expert in the field of graphing.
Important information:
Parallel Lines - If you have the slope of one line (for example the slope of the first line is 3). Then the slope of a parallel line must be exactly the same. The parallel line goes in the same direction forever and so must also have a slope of 3. Parallel lines have the same slope.
Perpendicular Lines - If you have the slope of one line (for example the slope of the first line is 3). Then the slope of the perpendicular line will be the opposite sign (positive or negative) and the reciprocal (the upside down version of the first fraction). If the first slope is 2 or 2/1, then the slope of all perpendicular lines is -1/2. Perpendicular lines have opposite reciprocal slopes.
Homework #8: Find the equations of the first 14 problems, showing all of your work. DO NOT do the last problem (#25).

Wednesday Classes: A-Block, B-Block
Today we will review our graphing unit. We will go over the homework. Then we will work in small groups to complete a review sheet for the quiz (HW009)
Homework #9: Complete the 17 question review sheet. The questions marked with (**) are very important to understand, and problems just like them will definitely show up on the quiz tomorrow.
Attachment: HW009 (Graphing Quiz Review), and the HW009 Answer Key (note that the actual paper I scanned is mislabeled at the top and says HW008 Key, but is obviously HW009)
