Geogebra Applets

Here are a few programs that you can play around with to practice your transformations:

Reflecting a Triangle Over a Line

Instructions:

  1. Type in the three point of a triangle that you want to reflect over a line in the boxes next to "Point A," Point B," and "Point C."
  2. Type in the equation of the line in the box labeled "Equation of the mirror line." For example, type in "y=3x+2" or even "x+y=7"
  3. Done. It will show you the mirror image of that triangle over the line.
  4. Adjustments if the triangles do not fit on the screen:
    • Zoom - You can right click on the image at any point and select a number less than 100% to zoom out. For example, choose 80% or 66% to zoom out.
    • Move the graph - If you select the tool in the top tool bar that is all the way to the right (it looks like an x-axis and y-axis), you can move the graph so that you can see your triangles
Enjoy!
